Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4): Long-Press Touch ID Power Button
Shut down the Mac completely. Press and continue holding the Power / Touch ID button. Keep holding until the screen reads "Loading startup options". Select "Options" > Continue to enter macOS Recovery.
Intel Macs: Reset NVRAM / PRAM
